Rocky Mountain Kids have three group homes for abused and neglected children. The girl’s home is called Future Bound and the boy’s home is called Nevada House. They have both been around now for over 10 years. Our newest home is in Canon City and called Ohana House. This home is ran by Drew and Antoinette Knapp. It has just opened in Sept. 2009.
Future Bound helps girls between the ages of 12-18. They have served over 150 girls over the years and continue to remain full and in demand as an excellent group home for teenage girls here in Colorado Springs.
Nevada House helps boys between the ages of 15-18. They have served over 250 boys and continue to be a strong force in helping these young men emancipate and turn their lives around.
Ohana House also helps boys between the ages of 15-18. They are working hard to serve these boys in Canon City which has limited resources for these kids and hope to make a difference in that community.
Rocky Mountain Kids main mission is to help teach these youth how to make healthy sound choices in their lives. We help them turn around the past and become hopeful for the future. They graduate from school, learn how to keep employment and many further their education with some form of college or trade school. These kids are successful and become healthy and important members of our society.
